There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure. This famous quote by Colin Powell stands correct for Gurjeet Singh. A resident of Sisauna village, Gurjeet always studied with the dream of going to NASA one day.

In the year 2003, after passing his intermediate examination from the city’s Government Inter College, Gurjeet obtained his BTech degree from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in the year 2009. After this, he did MTech in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and joined PhD to go to NASA. Gurjeet applied for NASA after completing his PhD research. His hard work paid off and he was selected as a post-doctoral scholar at Jet Propulsion Laboratory in NASA and is getting an annual package of more than 55 lakhs!

Gurjeet’s father Surjeet Singh is a farmer while mother Gurmeet Kaur is a homemaker. His entire family, as well as his village people, feel immensely proud of his achievement.
