The city’s municipal corporation has started with a campaign against unlicensed dogs and has also formed four separate teams to keep a check. This campaign will start in several areas of the city from January 11. Under this campaign, anyone found walking their dog without possessing a license will be fined.
It is noteworthy that the first time fine will be of Rs. 500, whereas the second time fine would be Rs. 5000. If caught the third time, the Nagar Nigam authorities will file a lawsuit against the defaulter.
The Nagar Nigam makes licenses for pet dogs for just Rs. 200. According to officials, it has been appealed to dog owners to get a license for their furry friends, but most people in the city haven’t been taking the appeal seriously.
