The Uttarakhand government has paved the way for women to serve in the fire brigade. The state government has commenced the recruitment of women in the state fire department by making amendments in the Fire and Emergency Services Subordinate Officers-Employees Service Rules. The notification of the aforementioned has been issued by the government.
Please note that the age limit for women to serve in the Uttarakhand Fire Service Department has been fixed at 21 to 25 years for the post of Firefighters and 21 to 28 years for the post of Fire Station Second Officer.
