In a first, women to conduct jungle safaris, work as nature guides in Corbett National Park

To generate employment for women, the government of Uttarakhand has started working towards an initiative. Under this, 50 women will conduct jungle safaris, and 50 women will work as nature guides in Corbett National Park in the upcoming tourism season. Apart from this, an amphitheatre, with a capacity to seat 500, will be set up in Aamdanda, adjacent to Corbett Park.

On a recent occasion, Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat informed that the Wildlife Rescue Center, being constructed in the Dhela Range, will also be made a Zoo Center. Whereas the Fato Range, which comes under the Terai Western Forest Division, will be declared a Safari Zone. The CM further said that providing basic amenities such as electricity, roads, and water to forest villages is our priority. Public participation is required to prevent human-wildlife conflicts.
