14 trainee officers test positive in FRI, entry banned for visitors

A total of 14 trainee officers in the Forest Research Institute (FRI) in Dehradun have tested corona positive recently. With this, the entry of visitors is banned on the premises. It is noteworthy that COVID cases in Uttarakhand were first detected among the trainee IFS officers of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in 2020.

Given the COVID cases, the Forest Research Institute campus has been closed for visitors and tourists till further notice. Everything, including the museum inside the institute campus, has been closed for tourists. According to authorities, further steps would be taken in this regard after the scenario becomes normal.
