IMA Blood Bank hosts program titled ‘Integration between Allopathy, Ayurveda and Yoga Sciences’

IMA Blood Bank, under the leadership of National IMA CWC member Dr. D. D. Choudhury, held a program titled Integration between Allopathy, Ayurveda, and Yoga Sciences, today. The program was conducted by the Founder of Doon Yogpeeth, Yogacharya Vipin Joshi, to ensure and strengthen the integrity between Allopathy, Ayurveda, and Yoga Sciences. The purpose of this program was to restore the confidence of medical professionals and paramedical staff.

In his speech, Yogacharya Vipin Joshi stressed the service rendered by the doctors of modern system medicine in the critical phase of the COVID-19 pandemic era. He also said that the doctors of the modern system of medicine have never criticized Yoga and Ayurveda. Rather, they have supported and incorporated Yoga into their personal lives.

Yogacharya Joshi also emphasized that whoever self-made guru has created whatever confusion amongst people regarding the treatment of COVID-19, the modern system of medicine has always followed the laid down protocols by WHO and ICMR. He also said that there is a communication gap among other systems of medicine and requested IMA to find out ways to reduce this gap. He urged IMA Uttarakhand State Branch and Dr. D. D. Choudhury to support him in celebrating International Yoga Day on June 21 and giving a message to the masses stating that IMA follows holistic medicine. He also paid tribute to the Covid martyrs and their respective families.

Dr. Krishan Avtar gave a brief spiritual aspect of life by describing the relation between the modern system of medicine and our ancient scriptures. He also said that we lost hundreds of doctors, paramedical and other staff during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Yogacharya Vipin Joshi honored the doctors and paramedical staff present in the program, including Dr. B. S. Judge, Dr. Krishan Avtar, Dr. Shashi Upreti, Dr. Gaurav Luthra, Dr. Amit Singh, Dr. Sanjay Upreti, Dr. Saurav Luthra, Dr. Siddharth Khanna, Dr. Swati Punase, Ajit Singh and Vibhuti.

Also present on the occasion was the Honorary State Secretary Dr. Ajay Khanna.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by the Director, Technical & Operations, IMA Blood Bank Uttarakhand, Dr. Sanjay Upreti.
