The weather in Uttarakhand has undergone a change since Friday evening due to the Western Disturbance. Several districts have experienced intermittent rains, resulting in a drop in temperature. Some areas with a height of more than 3500 meters also experienced hailstorms.

The coolness of the weather has increased due to the rains that continued throughout the night. Haridwar and Roorkee witnessed torrential rains, causing water to accumulate in various areas. The higher Himalayan region of Kumaon and Kedarnath also experienced snowfall.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for snowfall in high-altitude areas in the next four days. Bikram Singh, the director of the Meteorological Center, has stated that there is a possibility of hailstorms and rain in hilly areas during this time. Snowfall is expected on March 20 and 21 in the higher reaches, which will also result in colder temperatures in the plains. The hilly districts of Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Tehri, Pauri, and Kumaon divisions are likely to witness thunder and lightning.
