In a significant crackdown, Tyuni Police in Dehradun district recovered 125 kg of explosives from an Alto car during a routine check, leading to the arrest of three individuals hailing from Himachal Pradesh.
According to official sources, the police intercepted the vehicle during a checking operation. Upon inspection, they discovered five boxes of dynamite weighing approximately 125 kilograms. In addition to the dynamite, authorities also recovered two boxes of detonators, a roll of red-colored wire, and a bundle of blue-colored fuses.
When questioned, the occupants of the vehicle failed to produce any valid documents authorizing the transport of such explosive materials. As a result, a case was registered at Tyuni police station under case number 19/2025, invoking Sections 3 and 7 of the Explosive Substances Act, 1884.

- Rinku (37), son of Panu Ram, resident of Balang village, Thana Theog, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh
- Rohit (19), son of Bishan Singh, resident of Ronahat village, Thana Shillai, Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh
- Sunil (38), son of Keval Ram, resident of Saedoli village, Thana Kotkhai, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh
The police are currently investigating the source and intended use of the explosives, and whether the incident has any larger links or implications. Authorities have also notified intelligence agencies for further probe.
