SDRF Constable Rajendra Nath has brought immense pride to India and Uttarakhand by successfully summiting Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America. Inspector General of Police SDRF Ridhim Agarwal extended her heartfelt congratulations to Nath, emphasizing that his achievement underscores courage, perseverance, and patience, essential traits for mountaineering.

Inspector General Agarwal highlighted the significance of Nath’s accomplishment, noting that his mountaineering experience will greatly benefit SDRF’s high-altitude rescue operations in the Himalayas.

SDRF Commandant Manikant Mishra also congratulated Nath, praising him as a source of inspiration for the force. Mishra recounted Nath’s journey, which began on June 10 when he departed from SDRF. Nath flew from Delhi on June 13, reaching Last Road Head Takitna in Alaska via Frankfurt, Germany.

After a brief rest, Nath commenced his arduous trek. On June 23, 2024, at 11 am, he embarked on the final ascent from the summit camp. Braving temperatures of minus 25 to 30 degrees Celsius, icy winds, and numerous obstacles, Nath reached the summit in the afternoon of June 24.

This remarkable achievement adds to Nath’s impressive record, having previously hoisted the flag of India and Uttarakhand Police on several high peaks.
