On the occasion of Uttarakhand State Formation Day, a bicycle rally titled ‘Heal with Wheels’ was organized by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board on Sunday. The rally was inaugurated and flagged-off by the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat from the CM residence.
Congratulating everyone on the 21st State Formation Day, the Chief Minister said that Uttarakhand is a state full of geographical variations and has a lot of potential for adventure sports. He informed that to promote adventure sports in the state, the state government has decided to make a separate department for the same. Expressing happiness over the participation of 13 women in the bike rally, CM said that this will also make other women of the state aware of adventure sports.

The bike rally was flagged-off from the CM house and reached George Everest via Kimadi and Basagath Marg. In the male category, Ramesh Bharti secured the first position, Mohit Udyan scored the second position, and Avinash Rana, who was the youngest participant, was awarded the third position. In the female category, Vandana Singh stood first, Simi scored second place, and Sabita Matu secured the third position.

Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi was present as the Chief Guest during the closing ceremony of the bike rally as well as the Hot Air Balloon Festival organized at George Everest Estate in Mussoorie. He, during the occasion, presented the prizes to the winning contestants in the rally. During the Hot Air Balloon Festival, free rides for local tourists and rally participants were also organized.
