Haridwar’s 13-year-old climate change activist Ridhima Pandey has been included in the list of 100 inspiring and influential women in the world released by BBC.
The BBC annually honors 100 women in the world who have done outstanding work in various fields. Only four women from India have been ranked in the ‘BBC 100 Women 2020’ list released by the BBC, with Ridhima being the youngest.

Ridhima is an environmental activist, who at the age of nine, filed an NGT suit against the central government for not taking steps on climate change. In 2019, she joined Greta Thunberg along with 14 other children to file a complaint protesting the government’s incapability of taking action on the climate change crisis at the United Nations Climate Action Summit.
