The Meteorological Department has predicted light rainfall and hailstorms at some places of Uttarakhand due to western disturbance. In most cities, including Dehradun, the temperature has risen by two degrees Celsius since yesterday.
Uttarakhand’s weather has been dry for several days, with the mercury continuously rising amidst the scorching sun. It happened for the first time that the temperature touched 32 degrees Celsius in Dehradun in the month of March.

According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall and hailstorms are expected in Bageshwar, Chamoli, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, and Uttarkashi today. Another western disturbance can be expected in the state on Saturday, causing some additional drop in temperature.
