Given the daily rise in the number of COVID patients in Dehradun, the city administration issued an order, giving an insight into a series of oxygen suppliers in and around the city.
With the increase in coronavirus cases, the demand for liquid oxygen has increased manifold with the high requirement/consumption for the treatment of patients. As stated in the order, the following agency/supplier is authorized to provide oxygen supply as per demand:
These agencies/suppliers are instructed to provide oxygen to the general public after taking note of the name, address, ID, mobile number, and COVID positive report having the oxygen requirement duly mentioned by a doctor.
This order came into effect on April 26. Action will be taken against those violating the order under the relevant sections of Uttarakhand Epidemic Diseases, COVID-19 Regulations, 2020, Epidemic Diseases Act 1897, and the Disaster Management Act 2005.
As per another order issued by the city administration, passes for essential services to be operated during the Corona curfew will be issued as per the following arrangement:
- Registration on the Smart City portal http://smartcitydehradun.uk.gov.in will be mandatory for inter-state transport.
- The movement of emergency vehicles, essential service vehicles, and freight carriers is permissible and will not be hindered.
