In a recent letter to Baba Ramdev and the Health Department, State Secretary, IMA Uttarakhand, Dr. Ajay Khanna stated that Yoga Guru Ramdev should come forward and take charge of the health services during the third wave of COVID-19.
Ceaseless rhetoric continues between Baba Ramdev and the Indian Medical Association. On Saturday, messages stating the withdrawal of FIR and defamation claim by IMA Uttarakhand against Baba Ramdev went viral on social media.
Dr. Ajay Khanna informed that the FIR and defamation claim against Baba Ramdev has not been withdrawn and related messages floating on social media are untrue. He said that Baba Ramdev himself is spreading such messages.
Sharing details about the letter, Dr. Khanna informed that IMA challenges Baba Ramdev to take care of the entire health system during the third wave of coronavirus. He insisted that patients should be treated through Ayurveda and Yoga.
Dr. Khanna further stated that the allopathy doctors will also support Baba Ramdev in the treatment of patients and that the Yoga Guru should inform about accepting or declining the challenge. If Baba Ramdev backs out, then he should inform IMA beforehand so that the association can make arrangements to save people’s lives in time, stated Dr. Khanna.
