With the ongoing second wave of COVID-19, the PRO of Indian Military Academy, Lt Col Himani Pant, stated that this year’s passing out parade will be held on June 12. She further added that the parents of the cadets will not be allowed to participate in the POP given the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to this, the significant ritual of the passing out parade, i.e., the pipping ceremony, will now take place in the absence of the gentlemen cadets’ families. This is for the second time in the last one year that the IMA has restricted cadets’ parents and family members from attending the passing out parade.
