For the same, the department has invited applications for the recruitment of women drivers. So far, nearly 60 applications have been received.

To date, 250 private gypsies have been registered for conducting safaris for tourists. After this initiative, 50 women will be joining as gypsy drivers in Corbett National Park. Apart from female drivers, five female guides have also been employed in the national park.
