COVID in Dehradun: Lockdown imposed in FRI, Tibetan Colony


The cases of COVID-19 have started to rise once again in the state of Uttarakhand. Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 12 IFS officers of Forest Research Institute based in Dehradun. Post which, there has been a stir in the health department. 

According to the information received, all the 12 officers who were found COVID positive had come for mid-term training at the FRI. All the infected IFS officers have been isolated.

It should be noted that even last year, the COVID-19 infection in the city had started with the FRI among the trainee IFS officers. With the latest COVID-19 cases, the famous tourist destination can be closed for visitors.

On similar lines, the lockdown has also been imposed in the Tibetan Colony in the Sahastradhara area given the rise in COVID-19 cases.
