Governor’s House, commonly known as Raj Bhavan, will host the annual flower exhibition ‘Vasantotsav 2023’ starting tomorrow. The program will commence at 1 pm on March 3 and will exhibit a total of 158 species of flowers.
Hosted to commemorate the onset of the spring season, the three-day-long Vasantotsav will also have several other programs and presentations lined up, including a painting competition, rooftop gardening competition, bonsai gardening competition, honey processing competition, flower-based rangoli competition, and presentations by ITBP, IMA Band, PAC, Scout & Guide, and Bagpiper Band. Furthermore, a photography & painting exhibition, as well as an exhibition of special postage stamps based on flowers and natural beauty will also be put up.
At this year’s festival, stalls by various state-based women’s self-help groups will be set up along with IHM and GMVN stalls at the food court, and the focus will be on food products made of Millet. Furthermore, entrepreneurs and farmers doing excellent work in the fields of floriculture, horticulture, honey production, herbs, and organic farming will be honored during the festival.
It is worth noting that for the first time, the Vasantotsav is being organized for three days.
