Schools in Uttarakhand will be opened for students of 10th and 12th class from the 2nd of November. The SOP for the same issued by the state government states that depending on the attendance of students, classes will be organized in two shifts.
The students will be made to sit at a distance of six feet. Those students who won’t be attending school will have the option of online education. The students of class 10th will attend school in the first shift, whereas students of class 12th will attend during the second shift.
Only 50% of students will attend classes in a day and the remainder will be called the next day. As per the instructions issued by Chief Secretary Om Prakash, schools need to be fully sanitized before opening as well as after every shift. Sanitation facilities, handwash, thermal scanning, and first aid treatment should be provided on the school premises. If any student, teacher, or staff member is found having cough, cold, or fever, he or she will be given first aid treatment and will be sent home.
The school vehicles operate with half the capacity and will be sanitized at least twice. There will be no sports and recreation activities and the morning prayer will be done in class.
