On the occasion of the State Formation Day, the tour of Gartang Gali will be offered free of cost to the visitors. Apart from this, cleanliness drives as well as several week-long cultural and sports activities will also be organized in the district.
For excursions in Gartang Gali in the Uttarkashi District, a fee of Rs 150 is charged from domestic tourists and Rs 600 from foreign tourists by the Forest Department, but this fee will be waived on State Foundation Day.
On the occasion of the foundation day of Uttarakhand, the Tourism department will organize a cycle rally, whereas the Sports department will organize cricket & volleyball tournaments, as well as cross country races.
