The Uttarakhand Government has decided to launch certain important projects during the celebrations of 21st state foundation day. One of the important projects includes the Dobra Chanti area’s single-lane bridge in the Tehri district, which is India’s longest motorable single-lane bridge. This 440-meter-long bridge will be constructed after a period of 14 long years at a cost of Rs 150 crores.
Another integral project is providing free Wi-Fi facility to all government degree colleges in Uttarakhand. Both these projects will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat on the state foundation day.
Recently in a meeting, CM Rawat, along with other ministers, talked about plans to celebrate the upcoming state foundation day. As part of the celebrations, the government buildings in the Garhwal and Kumaon region would remain lit from 8th to 11th of November, though, due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, gathering of crowds would remain banned.
